Next-gen Management Consultants

One of the main objectives of our Centre is to promote excellence in our profession by providing guidance on its future development and by promoting a forward-thinking mindset. At CMCE, we are also convinced of the importance of engaging with the next generation of management consultants who will be instrumental in shaping the future of the management consulting practice.
For this reason, starting from this edition of our Newsletter, we will use this section to provide insights, share knowledge and experience as well as hear from experts and established professionals about topics that are particularly relevant to anyone who is planning to move into our profession, is studying to become a management consultant or has just started to work as one. We will also collect all these insights and information in two dedicated sections of our Knowledge Bank: ‘Next-gen management consultants’ and ‘Study resources’ (more about this later).
Our top picks for this month are:
. from our Knowledge Bank: we would like to share one of our most read pieces on the Top 20 Consulting Books. Read more here.
. Article: ‘Millennial management consultants yearn for meaning at work’. This FT article discusses the millennials management consultants’ search for purpose and meaningful project.
. Video: the first in The Concise Consultant series of videos focusing on Consultancy and Dealing with Clients. In this short lecture, Calvert Markham, CMCE Director, discusses what management consultancy is and provides practical tips how you deal with clients. Watch the video here.
