CMCE Roundtable: Measuring Management Consultancy Performance

The Management Consultancies Association estimates that the UK consulting sector grew by 25% in 2022 to £18 billion.

This level of investment by UK organisations makes it increasingly important that they are able effectively to assess the performance of their management consultants. Our roundtable will explore ways in which they can achieve this.

We are pleased to be joined at the roundtable by Tilly Harvey-Godfrey of the Crown Commercial Service and Tom McCabe, a former partner in PwC, IBM and EY, who will give their views on measuring management consultancy performance and will then respond to questions from the roundtable participants.

Tilly Harvey-Godfrey has worked in procurement for over 22 years, 17 of those focusing on professional services sourcing across both the private and public sector. She has a strong focus on the value that can be added by suppliers and how organisations can look to improve their relationships. She currently works for Crown Commercial Service as Strategic Lead for Consultancy and Audit services, responsible for framework delivery across central government and the wider public sector.

Tom McCabe has over 35 years’ experience in management consulting, including as a partner at PwC, IBM and EY.  He has worked with clients in both the private and public sectors to drive performance improvement, typically through technology change. He retired from EY in 2020 having built and led their HR Advisory practice, and now works as an independent advisor and charity trustee.
